Barbecue Chicken Sandwiches

Ingredients

• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 1/2 red onion minced
• 6 garlic cloves minced
• 3/4 cup bourbon your favorite
• 1 cup ketchup [Editor’s Note: I’ll never speak to you again if you don’t use Heinz]
• 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
• 2 tablespoons liquid smoke
• 2 tablespoons hot sauce your favorite, depending on how spicy you like it
• 1 tablespoon maple syrup
• 1 teaspoon whole grain mustard
• 1 dash sesame oil if you like
• kosher salt
• freshly ground black pepper
• 1 chicken roasted or rotisserie
• 4 sandwich rolls
