Vanilla Cake

Ingredients

• 2 cups sugar
• 1 cup butter softened
• 3 large eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/4 teaspoon almond extract I left this out this time around
• 3 cups cake flour
• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup buttermilk I used whole, I was out of buttermilk.
• 1 cup butter softened
• 4 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
• 1 1/4 cups cocoa baking
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/2 cup milk
