  • 1/2 red pepper small, diced
  • 2 1/2 cups water or homemade stock
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grits
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 sharp cheddar cheese grated
