Easy Southern Banana Pudding Cake

Ingredients

• 1 box vanilla cake mix use the dry mix only and replace the back of the box of cake mix ingredients with:
• 1 cup flour
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 4 eggs
• 1 cup water
• 3/4 cup vegetable oil
• 1 cup sour cream
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 5 1/8 ounces banana instant pudding
• 1 cup Cool Whip whipped topping
• 1 1/4 cups milk
• 5 1/8 ounces vanilla instant pudding
• 3 bananas sliced
• 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
• 2 tablespoons milk
• 6 large egg whites
• 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
• 6 cups powdered sugar
• 2 cups butter at room temperature
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or vanilla beans, I used the caviar from vanilla beans, as it adds pretty speckles in the frosting
• 2 teaspoons lemon juice
• 1 pinch salt
• vanilla wafers unchecked▢, crushed for garnish, optional
