  • 1 cup chicken stock or water and bullion equivalent
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • sugar light sprinkle of, if your canned tomatoes are not sweet enough
  • sliced scallions green
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
