Made with chocolate Rice Krispies cereal, marshmallows, and chopped Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, these treats are a deliciously indulgent twist on the classic recipe. They are perfect for parties, bake sales, or just as a special treat for yourself.

Ingredients

For the chocolate coating:

1 cup of milk chocolate chips
1 tablespoon of vegetable oil

For the peanut butter filling:

1 cup of creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup of powdered sugar
1/4 cup of unsalted butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Start by lining a muffin tin with paper liners and set aside. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and vegetable oil in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the melted chocolate into each paper liner, spreading it evenly on the bottom and about halfway up the sides. Place the muffin tin in the refrigerator to allow the chocolate to set.

In a separate bowl, mix together the peanut butter, powdered sugar, softened butter, and vanilla extract until well combined. Remove the muffin tin from the refrigerator and spoon about 1 tablespoon of the peanut butter mixture on top of the hardened chocolate in each liner. Use a spoon to flatten and smooth out the peanut butter layer.

Optional: Add a Valentine's Day twist

If you want to add a festive touch to your Reese's cups, you can use heart-shaped silicone molds instead of a muffin tin. Simply line the molds with chocolate and peanut butter as directed above, and place them in the freezer for about 30 minutes to set. Once hardened, gently remove the chocolates from the molds for a heart-shaped treat!

Finally, top each peanut butter layer with another tablespoon of melted chocolate, spreading it evenly to cover the peanut butter. Return the muffin tin to the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to fully harden before serving.
