1 tsp salt

1/2 cup cooked chicken or shrimp
1/4 cup nori (dried seaweed), thinly sliced
1 tbsp goma (sesame seeds)
Instructions
Rinse the rice in a colander until the water runs clear.
Combine the water, sake, mirin, soy sauce, sugar, and salt in a pot and bring to a boil.
Add the rice to the pot and stir well. Bring to a boil again.
Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Let it simmer for 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, add the mixed vegetables and chicken or shrimp on top of the rice. Do not stir.
Cover the pot and let it simmer for another 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and let it steam for 10 minutes.
Stir the rice and vegetables together gently with a rice paddle.
Serve in individual bowls and top with sliced nori and goma.
