- 1 tspsalt
For the Biryani:
- 3 tbspghee or oil
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 2 bay leaves
- 4-5 whole cloves
- 4-5green cardamoms
- 2-3cinnamon sticks
- 1 tspgaram masala
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tspsalt
- 1/4 cupfresh coriander leaves, chopped
- 1/4 cupfresh mint leaves, chopped
- 1/4 cupfried onions (optional)
Instructions:
Marinating the Chicken:
1. In a large bowl, mix together the chicken, yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt, and lemon juice.
2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the chicken marinate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
