Jump to Recipe1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and butter. Microwave for 30 seconds, then stir. Continue microwaving in 15-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
2. Add in the powdered sugar, corn syrup, and vanilla extract to the melted chocolate mixture. Stir until well combined.
3. Divide the mixture equally into two separate bowls. In one bowl, add a few drops of red food coloring and mix until the chocolate turns a deep red color. In the other bowl, add a few drops of green food coloring and mix until the chocolate turns a dark green color.
4. On a sheet of wax paper, use a spoon to create small circles with the red and green chocolate mixtures, about the size of a quarter. Place a miniature chocolate chip in the center of each circle to create the "iris" of the eyeball.
5. Place the gummy eyeballs on top of the chocolate circles, pressing down lightly to make sure they stick to the chocolate.
6. Refrigerate the candies for 10-15 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.
7. Once the chocolate has hardened, peel the candies off the wax paper and enjoy your spooky Halloween eyeball treats!
- If you don't have gummy eyeballs, you can use other gummy candies or even jelly beans for the "eyeballs".
- To make these candies vegan-friendly, use dairy-free white chocolate chips and substitute the butter with coconut oil.
- Get creative with the colors and decorations! Use different food coloring to create different colored eyes, or add sprinkles or crushed Oreos for extra texture and flavor.
Now that you have this easy and delicious Halloween eyeball candy recipe, you can impress your friends and family with your baking skills this spooky season. These treats are sure to be a hit at any Halloween party or make a fun addition to your trick-or-treat bags. Happy baking!
