Jump to RecipeStart by preparing the cake mix according to the instructions on the box. Once the cake is baked and cooled, crumble it into a large bowl. Add in the can of frosting and mix until well combined.
Using your hands, roll the cake mixture into small balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with wax paper. Insert a lollipop stick into each cake ball, making sure it is secure. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes to allow the cake balls to firm up.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the candy melts according to the instructions on the package. Add in the vegetable oil and stir until well combined. Dip each cake pop into the melted candy, making sure it is fully coated. Tap off any excess and place the cake pop back on the baking sheet.
Before the candy coating hardens, add your desired Halloween sprinkles. You can also use black food coloring and a small paintbrush to create spooky designs on the cake pops. Use the edible candy eyes to make them even more adorable. Let the cake pops dry completely.
Once the cake pops are dry, use the red decorating gel to create a mouth and the green decorating gel to make a stem for the pumpkin cake pops. Serve and enjoy!
These Halloween cake pops are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them. They are perfect for Halloween parties, school events, or just a fun activity to do with your family. Get creative with the decorations and have fun making these festive and delicious treats. Happy Halloween from Family Circle!
