Ingredients:
1 cup of all-purpose flour
½ cup of cocoa powder
1 cup of sugar
½ cup of butter, melted
2 eggs
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp of salt
Green food coloring
1 cup of white chocolate chips
Assorted holiday sprinkles
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven and prepare the brownie batter
To begin, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x9 inch baking pan with parchment paper. In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry mixture and mix until well combined.
2. Add the green food coloring
Once the brownie batter is well mixed, add a few drops of green food coloring and stir until the batter turns a festive green color. You can add more or less food coloring depending on how vibrant you want the color to be.
3. Bake the brownies
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth it out evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the brownies cool completely before cutting them into triangles.
4. Decorate the brownie triangles
Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave or on the stovetop using a double boiler. Dip the top of each brownie triangle into the melted chocolate, leaving a small portion at the bottom undipped to resemble a tree trunk. Before the chocolate sets, add your desired holiday sprinkles to the top of the brownies.
5. Assemble the Christmas trees
Place the decorated brownie triangles on a serving tray or plate, with the undipped portion facing down. Once all the triangles are placed, use the remaining melted chocolate to "glue" them together to form a Christmas tree shape. You can also add a star or other holiday decorations on top of the trees using the melted chocolate.
These Chipits Christmas Tree Brownies are a festive and delicious addition to any holiday gathering. They are sure to be a hit with both kids and adults alike.
