Instructions

To make the dough, start by mixing the rice flour, glutinous rice flour, sugar, and baking powder in a large bowl. Slowly add in the water and knead until a smooth dough forms. Then, add in the sesame oil and continue kneading until the dough becomes elastic and does not stick to your hands. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.

While the dough is resting, prepare the filling by dividing the red bean paste, lotus paste, and mung bean paste into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.

After 30 minutes, take the dough and divide it into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter as well. Flatten each ball and place a filling ball in the center. Carefully wrap the dough around the filling and roll it into a smooth ball.

Heat a pot of oil to 350°F (175°C). Gently drop the sesame balls into the hot oil and fry until they turn golden brown, about 5-6 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to remove the sesame balls from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
