  2. Using a potato masher or immersion blender, mash the yams until smooth. Set aside to cool.

Making the marshmallows:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, corn syrup, and honey. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is dissolved.
