  • 1/2 cup corn sugar (for priming)

Instructions

Step 1: Mashing

Begin by heating 1.5 gallons of water to 154°F. Add all grains to a muslin bag and steep in the water for 60 minutes, maintaining a temperature of 150-155°F. Remove the bag and let it drain over the pot. Discard the grains.

Step 2: Boiling

Bring the wort to a boil and add the East Kent Golding hops. Boil for 30 minutes, then add the Fuggles hops. Boil for another 30 minutes, then add the remaining East Kent Golding hops and Irish moss (if using). Boil for 5 more minutes.

Step 3: Cooling and Fermentation

Cool the wort to room temperature and transfer it to a sanitized fermentation vessel. Pitch the yeast and seal the vessel. Ferment at a temperature of 65-68°F for 2 weeks.

Step 4: Bottling

After 2 weeks, transfer the beer to a bottling bucket and add the priming sugar. Bottle the beer and let it condition for 2-3 weeks before enjoying.
