  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup I used local honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 10 ounces baby greens Spring mix, I used a loose leaf lettuce from our garden
  • 1 quart strawberries fresh, hulled and halved
  • 1/2 pound bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 2 ounces cheese crumbled Bleu
  • vinaigrette Poppy Seed, recipe follows
  • 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 shallot finely minced, or 1/4 cup diced onion, I used Vidalia onions
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sea salt course
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons poppy seeds
  • 1 cup oil
