• 1 cup sherry cointreau or brandy
• 1 cup glucose powdered, or brown sugar
• 250 grams butter
• 4 eggs
• 1 1/2 cups plain flour
• 1/2 cup self raising flour
• 1 teaspoon mixed spice each of, ground cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon orange rind finely grated
• 1/4 cup orange juice
• brandy Extra, or sherry for top
