  • 2 California bay leaves
  • 1 1/2 cups wine Merlot
  • 28 ounces chopped tomatoes can ,fire-roasted is good here
  • 28 ounces pinto beans can ,drained and rinsed
  • 14 ounces kidney beans can ,drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon beef bouillon Better than Bouillon
  • 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded
